Volunteer Opportunities
There are many ways to become involved. Since Francis House is supported entirely by kindness, your contributions both personal and financial are essential to our success.
Give the Gift of Time
Francis House has an ongoing need for volunteers, men and women who will share some of their time with the less fortunate. A couple hours of your time can make an enormous difference in a life. Our resource counselors serve two hours weekly during weekdays. Go to our Get Involved Now page, complete the application form and our Program Director will contact you and arrange a tour of our facilities and a talk about volunteer opportunities here.
Organize an Event
Opportunities exist to partner with our staff in raising funds and awareness. The Francis House Resource Development Committee welcomes individuals that can collect toiletries or help with a fundraising event. Volunteers are needed each year to help organize the annual Feast for the Streets, our Keep Hope Alive benefit concerts and other fun events. Please contact us to discuss your ideas and projects.
Become a Community Partner
Francis House is supported by a network of community organizations, businesses, and houses of worship that make a commitment to support our mission by:
- Referring individuals and familes in need of Francis House services
- Promoting annual fundraising events to support Francis House
- Referring interested persons to Francis House for volunteer service
- Making a financial commitment to support Francis House
For more information on becoming a Community Partner, please contact us.
Make a Donation
Contibutions from individuals, foundations, and corporations fund nearly 90% of our programs and services. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
Volunteer of the Month
Congratulations to Batman as our wonderful Volunteer of the Month! We celebrate Alex for his generous service to our Francis House guests. It is only with help from volunteers like him that we are able to accomplish our mission of providing life changing opportunities for those most in need.
Alex has really made a difference since joining us six months ago. He is a fine veteran’s counselor providing quality assistance and good information to every vet that needs his help. His contribution enabled us to provide two days of vet support rather than just one. He arrived armed with experience from directing the Stand Down event over recent years.
Thanks Batman for showing us what it looks like to go above and beyond by helping us produce our Feast for the Streets fundraiser. This is your month – we celebrate you and appreciate your wonderful service offered out of the goodness of your heart.
